Terms and conditions

Our scooters are not a toy or an electric bike but are small motorcycles. Driving without experience can be dangerous for yourself and others. Whether it’s your first time driving or you’ve been driving them for so many years your skills are very important.

 

Don’t think it’s “cool”, they are not a simple vehicle to drive for the first time and the repair is very expensive.

 

Please check that you are bringing your original paper licence with you and check that it is valid.

 

Autoeri grants for hire to the customer the vehicle indicated for rental under the following agreements and conditions:

 

1 – The minimum age for renting scooters and mopeds is 20 years.

 

2 – The rental begins on the day and time of delivery of the vehicle to the Customer indicated on the booking and ends on the day and time of the return of the vehicle to Autoeri.

 

3. The vehicle is delivered in perfect condition except as stated on this website, the Customer undertakes to return it in the same condition in which it was delivered, except for normal wear and tear due to the rental, on the day and time indicated in the rental booking. If the customer wishes to change the terms of the return (date, place, time) they must obtain the prior consent of Autoeri by requesting it at least 24 hours before the date established for the return.

 

4. The vehicle must be driven exclusively by the Customer, or by a person notified at the time of the booking, at the time of signature the Customer must prove that they are in possession of a proper driving license and cannot be transferred to other persons. The Customer expressly declares to be responsible for the actions, omissions of anyone driving the vehicle, unless this is due to unlawful acts that cannot be prevented by the Customer. 

 

5. The vehicle may not be driven by people in a state of drunkenness, under the influence of alcohol or drugs or who are in psychophysical conditions contrary to the rules of the highway code, it cannot be used for illicit purposes, for speed races, for the transport of passengers for compensation and cannot leave the Italian territory except in cases previously authorised by Autoeri.

 

6. The Customer and any other person authorised to drive are guaranteed by RCA insurance coverage for a maximum of € 6,000,000.00, with a deductible to be paid by the customer of € 500.00

 

7. The Customer will in any case be liable for damage caused by the vehicle due to improper use, as well as for theft, non-return of keys or any other use in violation of laws and regulations:

 

Customer is not guaranteed by insurance coverage:

 

A) for damage to Autoeri for the immobilisation of the vehicle to make repairs due to the fault of the Customer;

 

(B) for the costs incurred by Autoeri for the transport of the vehicle by tow truck without the activation of insurance cover and/or for the repair of the vehicle;

 

(C) for damage affecting the driver, objects and luggage carried in the vehicle;

 

D) for damage caused in any way to frame, wheels, paint, mirrors, baselet.

 

8. In the event of a claim, the customer is required to give Autoeri notification of the claim by telephone and in writing within 24 hours of the accident by filling out a CID form and having the investigations carried out by the competent authorities.

 

9. In the event of a breakdown or accident, it is absolutely forbidden to have unauthorised personnel intervened by Autoeri.

 

10. Rental payment must be made in advance, credit cards are accepted. In the event of a change in the duration, the current fee for the extension will be due.

 

11. The vehicle is returned with refuelling. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, the Customer will be charged the amount of € 25.00 for the service plus the cost of fuel.

 

12. If the vehicle is returned outside office hours from 9.30 a.m. to 8 p.m. or to a place other than the place where it was delivered, a surcharge of €25.00 will be applied.

 

13. All vehicles must be returned on the pre-scheduled day and at the pre-established time shown on the booking, under penalty of payment of an additional day of rental.

 

14. In case of loss of the vehicle keys, the customer will have to reimburse an amount of € 150.00 in addition to the expenses provided for any recovery, while in the event that the documents or the plate are lost the amount to be reimbursed is € 250.00.

 

15. The security deposit of € 500.00 is mandatory. In the event that damage to the vehicle itself is found at the time of the return of the vehicle, this deposit will be retained by Autoeri on account of the damage suffered, subject to the compensability of further damage. Liability for damages is entirely the responsibility of the customer.

 

The deposit must be guaranteed by credit card.

 

16. Personal data will be used only and exclusively for the purposes related to the contract and may be provided to third parties only for purposes related to the contract itself (L.196/2003).

 

17. The Customer undertakes to inform Autoeri if, during the rental period, there have been high contraventions of any kind charged to the vehicle, even if already paid by the Customer himself providing proof of payment.

 

In case of a fine, € 20.00 + VAT will be charged for the management of the administrative expenses of the case that do not extinguish the fine that will be totally borne by the customer.

 

18. Delayed Charge – The Customer consents from now on to the charge to his credit card of all amounts that will be due directly or indirectly by virtue of the rental, even after the closure of the rental, for damage to the vehicle, non-payment of fines, tolls and parking, relating to the rental period used by the Customer; the undersigned hereby consents to debit the amount due, increased by incidental expenses, to the credit card.
